Once I receive your inquiry, I’ll contact you to set up a short get-together in your home. Meeting you and your cat in person smooths the way for strong relationships and ensures that I have all the information I need to fulfill your cat’s needs.

What happens during a cat-sitting visit? In addition to feeding, litter box scooping, and refreshing water, I’m big on enrichment activities (if your cat is so inclined) — for example, playtime, brushing, and snuggling. I’m also experienced in administering oral medications and cat inhalers.

Here are my main service and pricing options:

• Once-a-day “anytime” visits. You can choose to have me visit once a day for 30 or 60 minutes. The arrival window for anytime visits is 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. This option often works well for cats on autofeeders, who don’t require meds, and/or who are less particular about when they eat and socialize. I charge $25 per 30-minute visit and $50 per 60-minute visit.
• Twice-a-day visits. Some cats do better with two visits per day in order to stick to their feeding routine, receive medication, and/or dispel anxiety. Twice-a-day visits are also usually best for kittens. I’ll come once in the morning between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM and again in the evening between 4:30 PM and 8:30 PM. The cost is $50/day for two 30-minute visits and $100/day for two 60-minute visits.
• Overnights. Overnights cover a 12-hour period with your cat — for example, from 7 PM until 7 AM. My schedule often allows for hang-out time during the day as well, at no extra charge. The cost is $120 per night.
• Additional surcharge applies on holidays, usually $10/visit.

After each visit, you’ll receive a detailed report with photos. For overnights, I send three reports per 24-hour period.

Have three or more cats? If so, there’s a $5 additional fee per visit, no matter how many more cats you have. For example, let’s say you have five cats and schedule three 60-minute anytime visits. You’d be charged $55 per visit instead of $50, for a total of $165.

The holiday surcharge applies to the following 22 days: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day weekend (three days), Juneteenth, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day weekend (three days), Thanksgiving weekend (four days), December 22–28 (Christmas week), New Year’s Eve (December 31).

Cats can be difficult to read … especially when they’re being difficult! As an animal behaviorist, former shelter volunteer, and longtime cat sitter, I’ve learned to identify the subtleties of their body language and unpack what could be driving frustrating behaviors such as:

• Aggression toward other cats in multi-cat households
• Aggression toward human members of the household and/or guests
• Urinating outside the litter box
• Hiding for extended periods

I charge $100 for a one-hour consultation. The consultation involves an in-person or online meeting, plus a review of any relevant videos you have. Within one week after meeting with you, I’ll email a report detailing potential causes of the behavior and recommendations for reducing/stopping it.
